(178) Prospective Urology Resident Exposure to Genital Gender Affirming Surgery

Abstract Introduction Genital gender affirming surgery (GGAS) is a component of transgender and expansive healthcare. Transgender health has been increasingly covered in undergraduate medical school curricula, however the prevalence education on GGAS not well known. We sought to learn about urology applicants’ exposure GGAS. Objective To investigate prospective resident impact residency applications. Methods An online Redcap survey was distributed via Twitter Spring 2022. Recent or applicants were invited participate. The collected demographic data assessed level perceived importance training choice program. Results 42 respondents completed survey. 21.4% (9) identified as member Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex Asexual (LGBTQIA) community. 73.8% (31) White. 59.5% (25) reported experience with LGBTQ health. no clinical didactic 57.1% (24) “moderately important” “extremely their selection programs.
